Background:
 A senior leader and custodian of the Rirratjingu clan member and son of Wandjuk Marika.
Role at Dhimurru:
 Mawalan is a senior landowner and directs much of his work to Rirratjingu estates and resources. Mawalan has been assisting with the Nhulun interpretation project for the past year. Mawalan has also been assisting with an ethno botanical survey of Melville Bay.
Comment:
 Mawalan enjoys the interpretive work he is doing with Dhimurru. He is keen to promote a better understanding of Yolngu culture amongst Ngapaki (non Aboriginal) residents.
